Terms of use

The rules that apply to the ES Schémas and ES Schémas Mobile apps and to their sync service.

Last updated: 5 October 2026

1. Purpose

The ES Schémas (studio) and ES Schémas Mobile (phone companion) apps, and the service that syncs projects between devices and within a team, are published by ESCS BV (ElectroSmart), Hoeilaartsesteenweg 107, 3090 Overijse, Belgium, VAT BE0692.916.332. By creating an account or using the apps, you accept these terms.

2. An assistance tool

You alone remain responsible for the design of the installation, its compliance with the RGIE and the other applicable rules, and the documents you produce. The app’s checks replace neither your professional judgement nor the inspection by an approved inspection body.

The apps’ features may change from one version to the next.

3. Your account

An account is created with a Google, Microsoft or Apple account, or a verified e-mail address. Keep your sign-in credentials confidential; if you lose a device, “Sign out of all devices” revokes every session. A Google account, a Microsoft account, an Apple account and an e-mail account are separate accounts, even with the same address.

4. Trial and subscription

A company, identified by its enterprise number, gets a 30-day free trial once, for one user, with every feature and no payment method. To keep using ES Schémas after that, a subscription is required, at the prices shown on the Pricing page when you subscribe. The subscription is taken out by the company; its manager assigns each of its seats to an account of the team.

Launch offer. The first year of a company’s first yearly subscription, taken by 30 January 2027 at the latest, costs €390 excl. VAT; the subscription then renews at the yearly price in force.

Education licence. Pupils, students and apprentices of an electrician course, and the teachers and trainers of those courses, get a free licence, with every feature. It is granted on proof for the current year (a certificate of enrolment or apprenticeship contract for a learner, a certificate from the school or training centre for a teacher or trainer), to be renewed each school year. It is reserved for teaching and learning, and may not be used for invoiced work. The documents it produces carry the mark “Licence Éducation — usage pédagogique”; projects started with this licence keep it, under a subscription too.

Subscriptions are invoiced by ESCS BV to the company, monthly or yearly depending on the plan chosen, on a single invoice for all its seats. Prices, renewal and payment methods are those of the Pricing page when you subscribe. You cancel the subscription by telling us in writing: the monthly plan stops at the end of the paid month, the yearly plan at the end of the paid year.

Without a trial or subscription under way, nothing is billed and projects open read-only on the devices where you used them: you view them, print their PDF and export their archive. A subscription lets you edit them again.

5. Your content

Your projects belong to you, or to your company if they are in its team space. You authorise us only to store, copy and transmit them to your devices and, for those in the team space, to the devices of the accounts holding a seat on the company’s licences, in order to provide the service. An account that gives up its seat or leaves the company no longer has access to the team’s projects: they stay with the company and are removed from its devices. You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to what you put in them, in particular your clients’ data, which you process under your own responsibility (see the privacy policy).

6. Service limits

To remain available to everyone, the service applies reasonable limits per account, including:

Reaching a limit suspends uploads to the service, never your work on the device: projects remain saved locally. The service may be interrupted, for maintenance or in the event of an incident, with no guarantee of availability. Regularly export your important projects as an .esschema archive, which is an independent backup.

7. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access the data of another account or another company, to circumvent the service’s limits or security, to overload it, or to use it to store content that is unrelated to your projects or unlawful. We may suspend an account that breaches these rules, after informing you, except in an emergency.

The apps include third-party components, among them the printing kit of Brother Industries, Ltd. (Brother Print SDK) for P-touch printers. They remain the property of their authors and are granted to you only for using the apps: you may not extract, copy, redistribute or decompile them. Their terms, reproduced in the apps’ “Component licences”, apply to that use.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, ESCS BV is not liable for indirect damage, nor for the consequences of a design, calculation or checking error that your professional review should have identified, nor for any loss of data that exporting archives would have prevented. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Ending your use

You may stop using the apps and delete your account at any time; an ongoing subscription is cancelled separately. Should we discontinue the service, we would give you advance notice as far as possible, so that you can export your projects. The projects saved on your devices stay there; once their licence can no longer be checked, they open read-only, and you can still view them, print their PDF and export their archive.

10. Changes

These terms may change along with the apps. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version; in the event of a significant change, we will let you know in the app or by e-mail.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Failing an amicable settlement, disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the competent Belgian courts.
